Jalal Abad State University Overview
Jalalabad State University, established in 1993, is one of the oldest and best medical universities in Kyrgyzstan. It is recognized by both the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The medical faculty is affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Science Education, Kyrgyzstan. Jalalabad State University was inaugurated by the President of Kyrgyzstan on April 2nd, 1993, as a state educational institution to provide training in various fields such as electronics, energy, construction, medicine, education, and agro-industrial specialties.

In 2015, 4 students and 7 teachers from Jalalabad State University participated in the Mevlana program, visiting universities in Turkey. That same year, 5 students were awarded scholarships from the POSCO TJ PARK Fund in Korea. Additionally, 4 teachers visited colleges in India with support from the Embassy of India. By 2020, over 400 students from countries such as India, Turkey, China, Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Turkmenistan were enrolled.

- Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (senior secondary education) with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from any recognized board.
- The required NEET score for General Categories in 2022 is 117 marks.
- The required NEET score for Reserved Categories in 2022 is 93 marks.

The MBBS fees in Jalalabad State Medical University are generally paid through two most commonly used methods. First, students carry full 1st year fees with themselves and pay directly after arrival in Kyrgyzstan. Students purchase US Dollars in India before departure and pay in US Dollars after arrival there.
Second, students can transfer the 1st year fee online through bank directly to university/representative’s account in Kyrgyzstan and provide transaction receipt for confirmation. The online fee transfer must be done before departure from India & it is allowed/accepted by selected medical universities in Kyrgyzstan.
SCHOLARSHIP
The University has instituted a number of scholarships for meritorious students in various categories of study as well as extracurricular activities. Scholarships are awarded based on marks in the qualifying examination, i.e., senior secondary examinations, for admission to UG courses. Students scoring at least 80% marks in the qualifying examinations are eligible for scholarships in select courses. The scholarship ranges from 25% to 100% of the tuition fee, depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The table below illustrates the amount of scholarship.
