Eligibility to Study MBBS at Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS)

Academic Requirements:

  1. 10+2 Education:

    • Completion of 10+2 education or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    • At least 50% marks in each subject: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
  2. Bachelor of Science Degree:

    • Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field awarded by the university.
    • The candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with at least one other prescribed science subject up to the ancillary level.
    • A minimum of 50% overall marks is required.
  3. Certificate Level in Health Sciences:

    • Completion of a prerequisite course equivalent to an I.Sc. (Biological Group) with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects.
    • Obtained a Certificate Level in Health Sciences from Kathmandu University’s Dhulikhel Medical Institute.
    • Achieved at least 50% of the total marks in each of the subjects (PCB).

The amount of scholarship will be 100%, 50%, or 25% of tuition fees based on the percentage of marks in qualifying examinations. The specific scholarship percentage is determined and announced at the time of admissions.
